Beste FD vrienden, zoals jullie allemaal weten is wedstrijdzeilen op dit moment niet toegestaan. Het zal jullie niet verbazen dat het NK in Makkum en andere wedstrijden niet doorgaan op hun geplande datum. Hoe en wanneer we de kalender weer op kunnen pakken zal de toekomst uitwijzen. Ik dank van de W.S.V Makkum voor de aangeboden gastvrijheid. Het vieren van het 50 jarig bestaan van hun club hadden zij zich anders voorgesteld. We houden het contact warm om te kijken of er in de toekomst toch weer een NK georganiseerd kan worden.
Ook internationaal wordt er hard gewerkt om te kijken wat de mogelijkheden zijn. Onderstaand een bericht uit Spanje aangaande het WK.

During the first week of June, we will post in this site confirmation on whether the 2020 Flying Dutchman World Championship, to be celebrated in Altea, Spain will be held as planned, postponed or cancelled.
The decision will respond to the recommendations and guidance by the Spanish Health Authorities, including regarding the movement of individuals, as they relate to the originally planned dates for the event.
As you can understand, we are in a difficult situation and dealing with a lot of uncertainty for the coming months. But from the Race Committee, we want to keep you informed of all the updates and decisions as per the National and International FD Class Organizations.
We hope to see an improvement of the situation soon so we all can go out sailing together again.
