Shipping to Worlds 2024 St Petersburg, Florida

Geplaatst op 05/09/202305/09/2023 Door Sjors Riemslag

Good day to all,

Just received price updates for St Petersburg Florida for the worlds beginning next year.

As world wide at the moment, container prices have dropped substantially. Ofcourse it could change any moment again. I can offer the complete rotation Netherlands-St Petersburg / Florida and back for 1.500,- euro/FD now, based on 6 FD’s per container and price basis now. Subject to Tarif changes, availability of equipment, bunker prices etc.

This includes all costs except from a crane to lift off/lift on the containers at the yacht club. Maybe the yachtclub is having a boat crane which can do, that would be great, otherwise some additional cost would arise. It is difficult and therefore expensive in Florida to find a truck with a side lifter crane, otherwise that would be the best possibility. Alternative is to have the trucks there when all sailors will be there to take out the boats directly out of the containers while on truck, not very nice and not so easy to organise, but it is possible. I guess the club is not having a ramp, that would be a very nice alternative otherwise. Storage of the containers at the st Petersburg yacht club should be checked as well if possible.

Loading in the Netherlands will be at my terminal OBM in Moerdijk, where I do have all the gear. Depending on numbers of boats, we can load the containers at different spots in Europe at additional costs ofcourse, like Milano, Budapest, Munich, Berlin, Steinhude, whatever.

At the moment I do have the following numbers for pre reservations:
GER 8x
ITA 3x
NED 4x
ESP 1x
HUN 6x, think they will organise themselves

Hope this proposal suits us. If there are questions, please feel free to ask.

cheers
Frank Nooijen
